Phoenix Chapter Named “Most Improved Chapter” in Bloomington at Cream & Crimson Alumni Weekend!

President, Barbara McCracken (second from left), and Vice-President, Coltlee Birkeland (center), accept the 'Most Improved Chapter' award.

The Phoenix Chapter of the Indiana University Alumni Association was recently named the ‘Most Improved Chapter’ by the Alumni Association in June 2010.  The Indiana Chapter shared honors with the England Chapter and San Francisco Chapter.

Additionally, the Phoenix Chapter also made the Keystone of Excellence list of chapters by meeting commitments in the categories of Community Service, Diversity, Lifelong Learning, Membership, Scholarship, Service to IU and Student Recruitment & Engagement.

The Phoenix Chapter has made great strides over the past few years in providing events that reach all areas of the Phoenix Valley while hosting events that are appealing to all cross sections of the Phoenix area alumni.  If you haven’t attended an event recently, come show your support and have fun meeting other IU Alumni of all ages.  Additionally, all work with the IUAA is volunteer-based, and we’re always excited to see new faces and volunteers.

Come celebrate with us at our next Happy Hour on July 15 at 5 PM in downtown Phoenix.  Click here for more info!
